A behavior analyst is qualified by at least a master's degree and Behavior Analyst Certification Board certification and/or a state-issued credential to practice behavior analysis independently. Behavior analysts provide the required supervision to assistant behavior analysts and behavior technicians. A behavior analyst delivers services consistent with the dimensions of applied behavior analysis. Life Strategies, with three office locations in Chesterton, Schererville, and South Bend, Indiana, specializes in ABA therapy for children and adolescents living with Autism. The day is filled with interactive learning, reinforcement, and other positive learning activities. Instruction occurs both during play time and at a table for more traditional learning opportunities. The specific needs of your child, based upon collected data and assessments, will be documented throughout the day. Progress toward each goal is monitored daily via an online data collection and graphing program.

What is Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Our ABA autism therapy can occur in-homeand/orin ourBlooming Potential Autism and Learning Centers. ABA can occur in-home or in one of our centers, or a combination of both. A trained ABA Paraprofessional or RBT can provide therapy in your home and in our Blooming Potential Autism & Learning Centers. An ABA Clinical Supervisor or ABA Therapist provides a thorough skills assessment at the beginning of the program.

Our behavior therapists receive training that not only meets requirements and expectations but also exceeds them. In fact, our behavior therapists receive 50% more training than is required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board . Each of our therapists is matched with a child based on the child’s individual needs and the therapist’s strengths. While this matching system may take longer at times, it’s essential for theoverall care and progress of every child that AHSS treats.

During the group time, experienced therapists assist children to communicate and practice social and friendship skills. Life Strategies provides ABA Therapy for young children with autism in Indiana. In-Home and Center-Based ABA Therapy can start with children at age twenty-four months.
Autism services using Applied Behavior Analysis can assist your child with attaining these goals. Connecting Caregivers- statewide virtual support group
Before this stage there had been a lot of sharing of information between parents and professionals. This is a short but positive film to show to an older child/teenager who may be anxious about getting a diagnosis. Often autistic adults and children feel great anxiety, especially in social situations or dealing with change. Every effort is made to incorporate our parents into the process of helping their child progress. Your child is assigned a Behavioral Therapist who will provide ABA services one on one.
We provide services to children between the ages of 1 – 19 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We work with every major insurance provider including BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, United Behavioral Health, Medicaid , MBHP and others. We also accept many smaller insurances and self-funded plans, so reach out to us to see if we accept your insurance. We use evidenced-based ABA treatments to increase socially significant behavior. Our specialized teams will track and adjust goals monthly — allowing your child’s progress to be optimized continually.
There are several unique issues that adolescence brings to teens with autism. Life Strategies can assist with coping with puberty, dealing with teenage emotions, sexuality, appropriate relationships, dating, and friendships. In addition, Life Strategies counselors help teenagers prepare for life after high school. Social Skills Rockis a social skills therapy group for children and adolescents with special needs. Social Skills Rock is facilitated by a Music Therapist and a Behavioral Therapist.
Life Strategies’ ABA autism therapy can occur in-home and/orin ourBlooming Potential Autism and Learning Centers. Therefore, children can receive therapy throughout the week both in-home, in-center, and in schools as appropriate and recommended. Life Strategies’ ABA Program is designed to help families and children receive the number of ABA hours that maximize the therapy benefits, therefore, therapy is offered in more than one setting.
This combination of locations helps your child to generalize and practice skills in multiple environments. In addition, children will have the opportunity to learn new skills at home prior to practicing them in other settings. In-home ABA also assists parents to become very comfortable and familiar with the ABA Teaching Team and assists parents become a valuable part of the ABA programming.
